Waynesboro, Pennsylvania boys Tim Ulrich and Dylan Potts of deathgrind legends Organ Trail join me for a podcast to cover a wealth of subjects. We talk the art of naming songs in death metal, baking with dismembered animal carcasses, the riff life, and much more. We even chat a bit about their upcoming studio album that they just shipped off for mixing and mastering. And I couldn't let them go without talking about one of my favorite songs ever recorded, "That's My Mother You're Pissing On." You may know today's guest from one of like, 11 bands he's played, recorded, or performed with. Pierce Williams is currently the drummer in Skeletal Remains and Aenigmatum, as well as a guitarist in Torture Rack and Lord Gore. He's also learning sets and performing live for some other bands, as well. He's a busy man! We chat it up about drummers that influenced us early on, how being a multi-instrumentalist affects his writing style, as well as our shared soft spot for melodic death metal. Plus we talk about how the hell he keeps such a hectic schedule in check. He makes it all look quite easy, I must say.

What do you mean by left turns? My buddy Nick Poffinbarger and I break down our top four albums where bands changed their sound. This was one of the more complex Mount Rushmore's we've done on the podcast. My answers weren't NEARLY as good as Nick's, but that's the reason I brought him in for this episode. Let us know what your favorite left turns are! As long as it isn't anything In Flames has done since "Clayman". (Don't want to hurt Nick's soul). 

Tanny and Branny are back it again with another Mount Rushmore. Today, we're counting down our Mount Rushmore of bands that changed us. We tried to pick bands that weren't obvious choices like Black Sabbath, Metallica, Iron Maiden, etc. That was too easy. We went for bands that diversified our listening habits and opened our eyes and ears a bit more. Bands that sparked our passion. We're sorry if our choices aren't obscure enough for those of you out there that are THE TRUEST OF TRUE. Shit on us all you like. We can take it.

Jason Bittner of Overkill and Shadows Fall (formerly of Flotsam & Jetsam, Toxik, Burning Human, Stigmata, etc.) joins me for this episode to talk about his vast career with a wide array of bands. We have an engaging discussion that ranges from his first time playing at the Modern Drummer festival in 2005,  stepping in to play with Anthrax on many different occasions, and even discussing which Shadows Fall record is his favorite. The man is a well-documented none giver of fucks and that's helped him sustain an indelible career drumming for a plethora of metal bands across a plethora of styles and genres. The man is still metal thrashing mad and has no plans of slowing down any time soon. The Baron of Bass finally joins us on Some Metalheads Are Gonna Roll! Nick Poffinbarger joins the show to talk all things bass guitar, Vanlade, Alsatia, and Emerald Eye. This bad boy clocks in at about four hours and thirty minutes. You're in for the long haul on this one! This is a wonderful conversation. I was sad that it had to come to an end. We even touch on the struggles of alcoholism and music serving as a triumphant reminder of success and perseverance. Nick is incredibly open, honest, and forthright in this talk and I can't thank him enough for his contribution to our podcast. There's even a few moments in here that had us rolling on the floor in laughter.
