  • The Economic Series Part 3 (Ft. Shiva Dudz)
We are digging deeper into economics this week! This episode's conversation is all about long-term savings, HSAs, IRAs, investing in the stock market and more. Financial literacy is an element of education that isn't part of the current system but it's imperative for us, as a community, to understand and ultimately finesse. We're serving uncut gems for dinner tonight, come get you some!

Tune in as Philly Shira passionately has a conversation with the homie Jarrett Jennings about Qualified Immunity, Defunding the police and so much more.  We have so many ideas and so much content to get out that Episode 4 is a 2 for 1 deal. It's a little longer but it's worth it! Let's unpack some of this mess.

  • The Economic Series Part 2 (Ft. Shiva Dudz)
The Ballot or The Bullet is a speech by Malcolm X that serves as an outline for Parts 1 & 2 of The Economics Series. It moves very much along the line of Nipsey Hussle's message, as well. It's about economic strength and how to exercise that power. It's about investing in your community to enhance your daily life and your neighbor's. Here's the start of unpacking some of these ideas - listen in, grab a pen!
In this episode we mention Orlando's own Streetwise Urban off of Hoffner Ave, check 'em out on IG @streetwiseorlando
Shiva Dudz mentions a very innovative organization called box.black. It's a crowdfunding, online marketplace experience supporting black entrepreneurs and business owners. Check it out on IG @blackownedxcellence and online at box.black (especially if you have a business!!)
At the very end of our conversation, we spoke about a movement with a plan to gain political power for our community. If you've been as frustrated as we about the current political climate, I urge you to check into the Black 2 the Future Action Fund online at black2thefuture.org and on IG @black2thefutureaction
