Somebody else

These days I try to look away from the news

Seems there’s always a new virus on the loose

Followed by a pack of angry people waving signs in the air

Violent actions then angry reactions don’t get you anywhere

And somebodies always sure it’s the fault of somebody else

While somebody won’t say a word, never fear somebody tells

Breaking news that nowadays don’t seem to shock

Are we numb to problems that envelop our world?

Do we care about the lies and accusations that are hurled?

It doesn’t get better cause you pulled the right lever one day

Unless we are pull together it will never roll the right way

And somebodies always sure it’s the fault of somebody else

The other day I had a dream that somebody else cared

That all of us got together and our grievances were aired

Somebody said I understand, and we all started shaking hands

Like the viruses, this wave of peace spread across the lands

And somebodies willing now to forgive somebody else

Seems somebody's had enough and makes sure somebody tells
