Episode Ten, and boy do I have a surprise for you! This week I am joined by the fabulous Drunk Theory podcast to discuss the 1992 supernatural comedy Death Becomes Her - was it really as awful as I thought it was? Or was it a great big fun movie that everyone else thinks it was?
We did discuss the film... a little bit... along with a tale of being trapped at the movies, the lives and careers of several actors who have nothing to do with this film, and whether we also need to talk about True Romance
Tune in to Youtube for an extra bit of content - plus you can see us in all our glory!
WARNING: This episode contains a fair amount of swearing, so be careful if you're easily offended.

Episode Nine, feeling fine! Each week I get the best and worst films on a particular theme and pit them against each other to see who comes out on top!
This week I take a look at one of cinemas greatest directors - Tim Burton. He's been at the top of his game for nearly 40 years - or has he? Has he been trading off previous glories, allowing him to get away with poorer output in later years? I attempt to look into this further by comparing his best films, which according to Rotten Tomatoes are Edward Scissorhands and Nightmare Before Christmas, against his worst film, which is Dark Shadows. I also get creative with an excel sheet. Let me know what you think and whether you agree with my findings!

Episode Eight, wow! Time flies when you're having fun! Each week I get the best and worst films on a particular theme and pit them against each other to see who comes out on top!
After last week's look at the worst of Jennifer Aniston's and David Schwimmer's filmographies, this week I take a look at the best these tow had to offer - 2018's Dumplin' for Aniston against 2008's Nothing But The Truth for Schwimmer? What's going to be the best of the best? And who will ultimately win the battle between Rachel and Ross? Listen in to find out!

Episode Seven, we've got each other's backs! Each week I get the best and worst films on a particular theme and pit them against each other to see who comes out on top!
In a bit of a change to normal, I'm putting up two BAD films against each other to see which is the worst. This week we're looking at the cinematic output of the actors behind one of the most recognisable on-off relationships on the nineties - Ross and Rachel from Friends! Jennifer Aniston in Rumor Has It vs David Schwimmer in Since You've Been Gone - which will come out on top? Which one will make you want to be on a break?

Episode six and we're feeling fine! Each week I get the best and worst films on a particular theme and pit them against each other to see who comes out on top!
Back in 2007, Eddie Murphy was riding high on the success of a critically lauded supporting performance in Dreamgirls, and was a shoo in to win Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars - that was until Norbit came along, supposedly scaring the Oscar voters away and scuppering his shot at the golden statuette. This is maybe too simplistic, but is there a kernel of truth? This weeks episode puts the two films up against each to see how whether Oscar voters were right to steer clear or whether they were overly harsh. Does Dreamgirls leave us feeling flat? Does Norbit hit all the right notes? Let’s find out!

Episode five, we've made it this far, why stop now? Each week I get the best and worst films on a particular theme and pit them against each other to see who comes out on top!
Late eighties and early nineties entertainment was dominated by a clash between two Japanese titans, with Nintendo battling Sega for supremacy in the world's front rooms. Each giant traded blows, although eventually they blew themselves out and young American upstarts Sony and Microsoft took over the fight to see who would be crowned king of the consoles. But that first war gave us two mascots to root for - Italian plumber Mario up against speedy blue hedgehog Mario. Their popularity inevitably led to spin off movies, with Super Mario Bros receiving a critical panning in 1993 and Sonic receiving a more favourable reception in 2020 - but which one is actually better? This episode aims to find out!

Episode four, you've shown staying power - I like it! By now you'll know that each week I get the best and worst films on a particular theme and pit them against each other to see who's the winner!
It's been common over the years to take a story and reverse either the Gender or Race of the main protagonists in an attempt to say something different - or as a cynical attempt to grab more of your cash. For this weeks episode I'm comparing the Julia Roberts Nineties Rom Com My Best Friend's Wedding to the Patrick Dempsey Noughties Rom Com Made of Honor - but which one will have the day of their dreams? And which one will get jilted at the alter?

You've made it to episode 3 - you've got guts, kid! By now you'll know that each week I get the best and worst films on a particular theme and pit them against each other to see who's the winner!
Chris Evans played not one, but two Marvel superheroes - he was The Human Torch in Fantastic Four in 2005, and then brought Captain America to life 6 years later in 2011. But when was he at his best? Is Fantastic Four as bad as people say it is? Who would win in a fight?

The second episode pits Kuzco against Kronk in "Disney animations and their straight-to-video sequels" - comparing Emperor's New Groove (2000) with it's straight-to-video sequel Kronk's New Groove (2005). Join me as I review them both and then see how they measure up against each other.

Welcome to the first episode of my new podcast, where each week I get the best and worst films on a particular theme and pit them against each other to see who's the winner!
For the first episode we start with the inspiration for the Podcast - There's Something About Sandy! In 2009, the actress Sandra Bullock won a Best Actress Oscar for her role in The Blind Side in the same week that she won the Worst Actress Razzie for All About Steve. In this episode I review both films while comparing and contrasting them.
