In the first three chapters of Revelation, Jesus asks John to write down the things that are. Today, Ron turns his attention to Revelation chapters four and five, when John is asked to write down the things that are yet to come. It all comes your way next, as Ron continues his teaching series, “Mysteries of the Apocalypse: The Last Days of Planet Earth, and the Return of Jesus Christ.”

For the past few days, Ron has been exploring Revelation chapters two and three, specifically the seven letters the apostle John wrote to the seven churches in first-century Asia. Today, we come to the final letter, a rather sobering message sent to the church at Laodicea, and one that could very easily have been written to the twenty-first century church in America.

There are loveless churches, corrupt churches, and, at times, there are dead churches. What does God mean when He says a church is dead? What does it take to resurrect it? Today, Ron introduces us to the church at Sardis, and explains how that particular church can be a sobering reminder for us today.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is an unveiling of future events. But it also reveals the condition of the church, not only the seven churches in Asia to whom the letters were addressed, but every church from that day to this. Ron explores the content of these letters next, as he continues his teaching series, “Mysteries of the Apocalypse: The Last Days of Planet Earth and the Return of Jesus Christ.”

If you received a personal letter from God, what do you think it would say? In Revelation chapters two and three, the angel of the Lord tells the Apostle John to write letters to seven churches. These were actual first Century churches, each located in what is now modern Turkey. And even now, two thousand years later, these letters hold special significance for you and me.

“And His voice was as the sound of many waters, and He had in His right hand seven stars, and out of His mouth went a sharp, two-edged sword.” The Apostle John wrote those words about Jesus Christ, not as He was when He lived on Earth, but as He will be when He re-visits the Earth at the end of days. Today, Ron returns to the book of Revelation as he continues his series,“Mysteries of the Apocalypse: The Last Days of Planet Earth and the Return of Jesus Christ.”

He was the Apostle whom Jesus loved, the one Jesus trusted to care for His mother, Mary. And years later, He was chosen to receive the Revelation of Jesus Christ and share it with the world. His name, of course, is John, exiled to the island of Patmos, where he received what you and I know as the final book of the Bible. Today, Ron takes us there as he explores one of the most mysterious subjects in all of Scripture.
