Terrific!

Hold on for a ride as this story picks back up with Ruby and her beloved Rafe living out their dreams in Boston. Pearl, Ruby's troubled younger sister, is invited to stay with them to help her overcome her troubled and downward spiral before it's too late. No one could have foreseen what Pearl is about to encounter as she resentfully begins her recovery program...

Toby Neal at Her Best

If you're familiar with Toby Neal through her Lei Crime Series, the "Somewhere" series will give you a different perspective of this versatile and talented author. The "Somewhere" series falls into the sensual romance genre and as the sex is graphic, the series won't be for everyone. However, the same qualities Neal demonstrates in her Lei Crime Series are what make the "Somewhere" books equally successful.

In this book, the story of Ruby is expanded as Neal explores the character of Pearl. Pearl has some serious trauma in her background that causes her to begin using drugs to escape her darker feelings about the trauma. Character development and strong female characters are a hallmark of Neal's writing, and she does not disappoint here. Neal does not shy away from the darker sides of her characters, including the male lead, who is a mercenary and has his own issues.

The book is full of interesting plot twists that make it hard to stop reading; as with all Neal's writing, you want to know more about the characters and find out what happens next. This is a great vacation or beach read, I loved it.

Really enjoying getting to know these characters. Toby Neal has a way with developing characters. I feel like I'd like to hang out with them!

Another hit from Toby - in another genre! She hooks you in the beginning and doesn't let you go! I couldn't put it down. Toby can really build her characters so you think you know them - wish you knew them.

I can't get enough of this series. The characters are easy to fall in love with. Ready for,the next book.
