  • Episode 19: Devon Doesn’t Know How the Music Industry Works
November 10th, 2016  •  On this week’s Song Buzzards thing, although our heroes have opposing views on both Daylight Savings and the definition of “meh”, they can agree on one item: Kangaroo Gulch, Australia is a real place! Aside from joking around about Pure Moods, French lullabies, Google Translate, and disgusting food combinations, Cory breaks Devon’s heart, Devon gets creeped out by an album cover, and they both struggle to identify Bob’s Burgers characters. Also, plenty of Crickets, some southern accents, and a really obscure Ghostbusters reference.

Also, the guys listen to songs that feature Kazoo and Ukulele sections as well as meowing cats, bond by figuring out together what Placebo song they both love, and pitch the idea of a new podcast starring Devon’s dad and Cory’s mom.

Devon reveals his past connection to Alanis Morissette’s lyrics as a 15-year old, while Cory looks up South Dakota on a map, and they try to put their heads together to figure out what genre best fits Lana Del Rey.
