A PRAYER FOR HEALING THE BODY AND MIND TO MEDICINE BUDDHA
Deep blue — body of Medicine Buddha,
A halo radiating Your great loving mind,
I humbly bow before You and pray
To be healed in Ultimate Truth’s light.
May You grant a cure for this body,
To gradually relieve illness and pain.
With this temporary body, I seek the Buddha’s body;
I pray to finally see the Dharma Body.
May You grant a cure for this mind,
So I may realize all suffering stems from mistaken thoughts.
All past wounds still tiring my heart
Are but thoughts arising in the mind.
In truth, body is mind, and mind is Emptiness;
Suffering and illness appear like rainbows.
I vow to realize the Immortal Mind,
To transcend birth and death, living eternal life.

This poem was composed in response to a request from a student: “I have an older sister who is ill. Since falling sick, she has been very anxious and frightened. I would like to ask for a prayer to Medicine Buddha to help calm her mind and heal her illness.” In the poetry circle, after Phan Bá Lành wrote the first three stanzas, teacher Trong Suốt spoke the final stanza aloud.
Music by: Ngo Ngan

The song helps elevate the listeners’ consciousness vibration to 70.000 Trong.
