Jacob's life has been filled with conflict. He experienced conflict with his brother, his father, his uncle, his wives, his cousins and just about everyone else he came into contact with. When God told him to go home, Jacob had to face the conflict that dominated his life. He had to return to the home of his family, where his brother had been in charge through all of the years he was gone. This is the climax we have all been waiting for, or so we thought. The real, defining conflict happened on the way home.
