In Paul's day, eating meat that had first been offered to idols was a big deal. Paul personally saw nothing wrong with eating meat that had been first offered to idols because idols don't really exist

We as Christians worship and serve the one true and loving God! But, Paul said he would give up his right to eat meat if it would cause a weaker brother or sister in Christ to stumble. Mature Christians focus on God! Legalistic Christians focus on what others think.
