Soon

Listen Later

Soon

Sitting crossed legged on faded sunsets, chewing away on dried out regrets

Time can’t steal your memory, cause like an elephant, this

heart never forgets

Stores in the cupboard seem depleted, means are reduced but never defeated

Same heart soldiers on determined to ensure that this

journey’s completed

Underneath a snow crust moon, dreams of sunshine and flowers in June

The calendar cannot keep the days from rolling ahead, oh!  But baby soon!

Staring though frost covered windows, a reflection of concern on his face shows

Plans be damned, you know it’s always something, isn’t that just the way it goes?

Determination echoes in his ears, sometimes at night

darkness fails to hide the fears

Hurts sometimes, the absence of your touch gets too much, and I end up in tears

Underneath a snow crust moon, dreams of sunshine and flowers in June

The calendar cannot keep the days from rolling ahead, oh!  But baby soon!

Soon we will quell the doubt, quiet the chatter and worries

about

Whether or not we can stand together, soon baby we will

shout

Soon we will embrace the coming days, slow dancing as the music plays

Even when it stops this pair keeps on, soon we’ll enjoy this

feeling that stays

Soon mama, soon I will wake to your smile, soon my love in just a little while

Soon we will be together forever cause true love never goes out of style

Underneath a snow crust moon, dreams of sunshine and flowers in June

The calendar cannot keep the days from rolling ahead, oh!  But baby soon!
