Waltz In Db Major Op. 64 No. 1 composed by Frédéric Chopin (1810 - 1849)
This waltz was named "Valse du petit chien" by Chopin, now mostly known by it's more popular nickname "Minute waltz". This is commonly misunderstood to mean that it should be played within 60 seconds, which was most likely never Chopin's intention. It should rather be understood to mean "minute" as in "small". It is said that he composed it after watching a small puppy chasing it's tail.
Chopin composed his waltzes for concert performance rather than for dancing.
