This week we’re diving into the contradictions of ADHD. We want variety but get overwhelmed by change, need stimulation but are easily overstimulated, and crave routine but get bored the second we have one!
But behind the funny contradictions, there’s a harder side to living with these competing needs. As always, we want to laugh at the chaos while also creating a safe space to be honest about the difficult bits, without judgement.
Basically, it’s two brains fighting for control of one body, and neither of them has read the instruction manual. Join us as we unpack the joys of our weird little brains and inevitably get distracted halfway through explaining it…

This week, we’re talking parenting (with and without ADHD), mum guilt, the pressures we put on ourselves, and the reality of just trying to get through the day!
Katie shares her mum’s brilliant “piggy bank” analogy that might just help you see those rubbish parenting days a little differently. We also get honest about being real with our kids, apologising, repairing after we get it wrong, and trying to regulate ourselves when we’re anything but regulated!
Plus, this week’s chaos: Katie’s decision paralysis, Beck having to be a full-grown adult in a crisis, and a very special four-legged guest… Lady!
As always, expect plenty of oversharing, questionable decisions and more than a few “Sorry, what were we saying?” moments.

This week Beck and Katie check in on their weekly chaos - Beck reveals that she's basically a professional athlete now, while Katie exposes one of the many ways in which she's a massive nerd.
We're also getting real about Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria (RSD) - what it is, why it seems to show up so often alongside ADHD, and why one tiny comment can sometimes send your brain into a full-blown emotional courtroom drama.
We share some very real (and occasionally very embarrassing) experiences of RSD, talk about the ways it can sneak into everyday life, attempt to process the trauma by laughing at it, and as always... go on plenty of tangents.

In the first ever episode of Sorry, What Were We Saying?, Becks and Katie introduce you to their quirky little brains.
Expect an Amazon delivery for Katie, absolutely no editing because Becks couldn't work out how to do it, plenty of tangents, lots of laughing and a little insight into who we are and why on earth we thought starting a podcast was a good idea.
We're two women, both diagnosed with ADHD later in life, trying to navigate everyday life when some days we can barely function through the basic tasks, never mind start a podcast. 😂
Come and get to know us, hear how we ended up here and join us for the very beginning of what will probably be one very chaotic journey.
And yes... there will probably be a few moments where you think:
“Sorry, what were we saying?”
