As many of y’all know….I’ve been super busy working on building out the new arts & event space in West Seattle, Jet City Labs.

Since the last post, we’ve moved to put up new playlists on our Spotify and Apple Music feeds. So if you want the latest and greatest be sure to add us on one of those channels.  We will continue to update the archives here as we rotate the playlists out…so you’re covered from all angles.

Keep the funk alive, and continue sharing these vibes with your people.

Here’s something you may or may not know.  Since around October 2020 I’ve been co-hosting a monthly showcase of Seattle-based musicians, DJs, and curators on WorldwideFM (London UK), with a musical young fellow by the name of Jason Justice.  I’ve been hella busy trying to get the new Jet City Labs space open, and I know folks be needing their grooves….so here is an oldie, but goodie.  Enjoy, more coming soon!

It’s been over a year since most of us have been able to travel anywhere because of this pandemic. When the opportunity arose for me to dip out of Seattle for a much-needed sabbatical, I did that.  These grooves are what I was listening to over the last couple of weeks, great stuff to chill out to.  There’s so much new music out so far this year, and this is just a tasting of what I’ve been hearing… so I definitely wanted to share with you…R&B, Soul, jazz, lo-fi, hip-hop vibes from around the world.

Welp…we’re smack dab in the middle of the winter season. This is the time of year Seattle is cold, rainy, and dark at 3pm.   The warm sensual embrace of soulful music is necessary.   Fear not, JUSTA has arrived with a healthy dose of that good therapy… Volume 5 of the beloved Slow Jams series. Get that fire roaring, and cozy up to your speakers.

And we’re back…

After taking December to marinate and recalibrate on the 5-alarm house fire which was 2020, I decided to start to assemble some of my favorite tracks from last year. This episode contains Hip-Hop, Soul,  Jazz, and R&B that made it onto my radar last year.   2.5 hours of heat… Enjoy!
