It’s already halfway through 2025… 

Half a decade since the pandemic and global lockdowns. What a ride it’s been.

To be honest, I’m simply grateful to still be here. Things haven’t always been easy. I’ve known real darkness and moments when it felt like hope had left the room. But I’ve also known resilience, inner strength, and the quiet courage it takes to keep going.

In this very first episode, I open up about what brought me here, why I’m finally ready to speak more publicly, and why I’m calling this podcast The Soul Mechanic Diaries.

I talk about the deep cultural fears around sharing dreams out loud, and how I’ve come to believe that speaking your truth is an act of liberation, but also requires discernment and self-trust.

You’ll hear a bit of my backstory. From my upbringing in Zimbabwe, to my nomadic journey as a musician and holistic coach, to working with VIP clients and creatives around the world.

I also begin to share my renewed focus in 2025...  reviving my acoustic project, I See Hearts, launching my band project, Cup Tea No Sugar, deepening my coaching work with high-level clients, and creating a course to help women find and keep a high-value man  (and yes, there’s one coming for men too).

This is a space for authenticity, reflection, healing, creativity, intimacy, and expansion. 

Whether you're an introvert, creative, seeker, or someone simply trying to live more honestly in an often confusing world.

Summer 2023:

One of the toughest things for a man to do is to ask for help or to be open about his struggles. I salute today's guest for leaning further into his discomfort in order to tell his story, in the hope of changing his unfortunate circumstances...

In today's episode I have a special guest. My younger brother Asad is a gentle young man who is diligently studying Architecture here in North Cyprus. You may recall my previous podcast episodes explaining the complexities of this geographic location and why I came here to visit him despite my own tenuous circumstances.

Asad got here in 2016 and is still trying to complete his undergrad. I am his first visitor in all that time and what a journey it's been for all of us. We had a very in-depth conversation in this podcast episode so he can explain in his own words what his personal situation is and the intricacies of what he needs in order to complete his degree.

Things got even harder after the wheels fell off the proverbial school bus, not to mention us losing a parent and then having to navigate the global pandemic out here in Europe amongst all else! Neither of us have been home since our Dad's passing in 2021 for financial reasons.

In order to make it back to his classes this September, he needs urgent financial support to avoid missing yet another semester and to avoid prolonging his course which has already taken 7 years till now! I believe community is the answer to many of the world's problems, so here we are sending out the Bat Signal. It's better to say something than to just stay silent.
