Soul Searching: The Church of the Nativity Podcast episodes

  • Luke Episode 1
We are approaching the end of Year C, the year where the Sunday gospel readings are centered on Luke's Gospel. This is the first of three episodes taking a closer look at the Gospel of Luke and exploring the piece of music I created for my seminary thesis on Luke's Gospel. This week we get some background and an overview of the whole book. We look closer at the birth narrative and Jesus early ministry, then discuss how I expressed the theological themes from those sections musically. Then we hear the whole first movement of my piece.

  • FEAR NOT!
Father Jason poses questions this week inviting us all to deeper prayer and penetrating reflection. If God is eager to give us the Kingdom, as the text from Luke's gospel proclaims, why are so afraid? What stands in the way of us receiving this blessing, this gift, this Kingdom that God wants to give us?
