On this episode of Soul Stories, Dr Randall has a fascinating conversation with Meg Heppner. Meg is a life coach, Hypnotherapist, blogger and event host that is passionate about walking with people who want more out of life than just the status quo!
She believes that life doesn’t have to work out exactly the way we think it “should” in order to be enjoyed and that people don’t have to be perfect in order to be loved.
She believes that we all have the voice of truth inside of us but sometimes it can be hard to hear. And most importantly that we must live between the tension of accepting the things we cannot change and taking massive action on the things we can!
Meg creates spaces where women can slow down and process all the things that are influencing and controlling their lives - their everyday thoughts, emotions, and the stories they have been telling themselves. Spaces where they can look at their inner world, gain valuable insight and then reclaim their personal authority, and make conscious decisions that transform the way they experience their lives!
Through one on one coaching, group coaching and workshops, Meg helps women show up in the world with more love, and less ego, more compassion, and less judgment, more vulnerability, and less shame, more emotional agility and less fear!
Meg is also on the Board of Directors for Happy Healthy Women Global
Meg lives in BC with her husband of 21 years, two teenage boys and their little dog Charlie. To learn more about Meg visit her website www.megheppner.com

Get inspired with Dr Randall and Lewis E. Mehl-Madrona! Lewis is the author of the Coyote trilogy. (Five books) His work discusses healing practices from Lakota, Cherokee and Cree traditions, and how they intersect with conventional medicine. Mehl-Madrona has been writing about the use of imagery and narrative in healing since the 1980s.
His focus arises out of a desire to celebrate indigenous culture, particularly that of North America, and to show how contemporary health care practices can be enriched through the inclusion of the ideas of indigenous culture into contemporary work. He speaks about traditional healing, about how psychotherapy and medicine can be modified to include the insights of traditional healing. He is interested in narrative medicine as a means for which storied indigenous practices enter contemporary medicine and psychology. Also in dialogical self theory and therapy as a contemporary parallel to the self-theory of indigenous cultures. He is interested in how we can train new doctors to be simultaneously humanistic, narrative, and evidence-based.
Lewis graduated from Stanford University School of Medicine and trained in family medicine, psychiatry, and clinical psychology. He completed his residencies in family medicine and in psychiatry at the University of Vermont College of Medicine. He has been on the faculties of several medical schools, most recently as associate professor of family medicine at the University of New England. He continues to work with aboriginal communities to develop uniquely aboriginal styles of healing and health care for use in those communities. He is interested in the relation of healing through dialogue in community and psychosis. He is the author of Coyote Medicine, Coyote Healing, and Coyote Wisdom, a trilogy of books on what Native culture has to offer the modern world. He has also written Narrative Medicine, Healing the Mind through the Power of Story: the Promise of Narrative Psychiatry, and, his most recent book with Barbara Mainguy, Remapping Your Mind: the Neuroscience of Self-Transformation through Story.
Kellie Stecher is an OBGYN and Co-Founder and President of Patient Care Heroes, as well as the Governor of the 7th district of the American Medical Women’s Association, and advisor to multiple other companies focusing on patient and staff safety, and mental health. She is the author of the book, "Delivering", which is out now. The book is meant to empower women, mothers, working women, women in healthcare, and to inspire women!
Her admirable passions are safety at work, safe reporting systems and the need for medical education to change especially with regard to working women & women in medicine. Another passion of Kellie’s is
to address and improve some of the toxic culture that has been adopted for the treatment of women in medicine-in need around childbirth, sexual abuse and adequate time to deal with children and families.
