When one is serving the Lord, he or she can experience a lot of blessings. But, over time, those who serve God lose their focus. Without being aware of it, they become engrossed with what they are doing for the Lord that they forget the Lord Himself. The ministry becomes an idol. Eventually, they burn out because the Lord is no longer the center of what they are doing.

At the start of our relationship with God, it is natural to think that we really have to exert a lot of effort in order to become the kind of persons God wants us to be. We struggle, of course, because we are not able to produce the kind of transformation that we desire. But, over time, we must learn to surrender and trust God more and more as He transforms us by His power and grace.

Serving in the ministry is not just about tasks. It's also about having the right kinds of attitudes. Challenges will undoubtedly arise, but the servant of God with the right attitude can easily overcome these things.

Because the Lord loves us so much and He has chosen us by His grace to be with Him forever, it is only right that we should glorify Him by fully cooperating with His grace in saving us. This requires that we fully trust Him in all areas of our lives.

Serving the Lord is such a privilege. But Christian workers must be raised up and trained. Then, they should be given clear instructions on how they will do their ministry so that they will be successful.

It's important to worship the Lord. But often our idea of worship is so limited. We think it's only about songs and music. Sometimes we think worship is just a one-night concert! There is more to worship than that. There are other unique ways of worshiping the Lord that we have not yet explored.

Someone said that Christianity is just a generation away from extinction. Of course, that is just an exaggeration. Jesus promised that the church will prevail (Matt 16:18). But in a way, there is some truth to that statement. We need reliable people who will carry on the task of making disciples in every generation so that the Gospel will continue to spread until the Lord returns. How do we find such people?

By nature, we all tend to rely on our capabilities to navigate the many challenges in our lives. We often believe that we are strong enough and wise enough to overcome. But then we find ourselves in situations that are beyond our capacities. God allows this by His grace so that we will recognize our need for Him.

Rejection hurts. That's why we don't want to be rejected. But rejection always happens especially for those who sincerely want to obey Christ. We need to know how to handle rejection. Of course, our best example when it comes to handling rejection well is Jesus Christ. He suffered rejection more than anyone else. But He handled it very well each time.
