We often look to our phones to help us get answers and solve problems. When an issue comes up, we just “Goggle” it.
Our phones can be very helpful tools but they can also be a distraction, cause isolation, and cause us to not be present in the moment.
There’s nothing worse than trying to have a conversation with someone and only getting half their attention as they check your phone. scroll through texts, check social media and engage with everything except YOU. Rude? Ah, Yeah! This sends a clear message that whatever is happening on the phone or whoever is texting or posting is more important and worthy of attention. When this happens regularly in a relationship, argument happens, imaginations run wild and trust can become an issue. Is he or she giving attention to someone else? What is SO important?
In a relationship, nothing kills a romantic moment faster than someone pulling out a cell phone. Believe it or not, people get jealous of their partner’s smartphone.
In this episode of Soulful Conversation with Frank and Sheila, Frank and Sheila discuss phones in the relationship and five rules to help build trust in your relationships.
