Have you ever sent a text…
and immediately thought…
“Ohhhhhh…I probably shouldn't have sent that.”
Yep.
Me too.
Welcome back to Soulful Saturdays with Saylor, where we're sitting down together for a little coffee, a little soul talk, a little laughter—and hopefully a few moments that make you say, “Okay, Saylor…you got me.”
Today we're talking about something incredibly simple… but incredibly powerful.
The Sacred Pause.
Because how many times do we respond when we're under pressure instead of responding from peace?
We say yes because we don't want to disappoint someone.
We answer the text because we're angry.
We jump in to fix somebody else's crisis because we're so used to being the one who handles everything.
And then later we're sitting there thinking…
“Why did I say yes?”
Or…
“Why did I send that?”
Or my personal favorite…
“Who authorized me to take this on?”
Friend, here's what we're going to explore today:
What happens when you give yourself permission to pause before you respond.
Because that tiny space between emotion and action can change everything.
It can help you make better decisions.
Protect your peace.
Set healthier boundaries.
Reduce regret.
Build confidence.
And reconnect with what you actually want instead of automatically responding to what everyone else needs.
We're going to talk about three very real-life moments when the Sacred Pause can change the game:
Before you say YES.
Before you send THAT text.
And before you rush in to fix everyone else's problems.
Because let's be honest…
some of us have become emotional first responders.
Someone has a crisis?
We're there.
Someone needs something?
We're on it.
Someone's having a bad day?
Cape on. Superhero mode activated.
But here's the question we're going to sit with today:
“Is this mine to carry?”
Because not every fire needs you showing up with a hose.
Sometimes… it's just somebody burning toast.
So grab your coffee, settle in, and let's have this conversation like we're sitting across from each other at our favorite coffee shop.
Because this isn't about becoming perfect.
It's about becoming present.
It's not about reacting faster.
It's about responding wiser.
And sometimes… the most powerful thing you can do…
is take one breath… and pause.
Welcome to Soulful Saturdays with Saylor.
Let's get into it.
