The whole world is in grief for the "old normal", and that grief was amplified this past weekend in Nova Scotia with a tragedy that touched virtually everyone. In working through grief I've learned that we need to - we have to - reach out for help and support to heal.  But, in the end, to find peace, we also need to reach within.

Ever since self-isolation and lockdown, there seems to be lots of pressure to learn new skills, be creative or be more productive. I'm here to tell you to ease off on yourself and give yourself the time you need to get used to all that's happened - and more importantly why that's important. For business owners and other leaders this applies to how you focus your leadership for your people in this time.

I woke up two days ago realizing I'd been through all of this before. Not the pandemic, but the uncertainty, anxiety and knowing the world would never be the same again. With that realization came what I'd learned, and there's one choice that changes everything - a choice you can make today to change your experience in this self-isolating world.
