The finality of God’s word (the Bible) implies its absolute authority on every issue of life – spiritual, secular, social, material etc. The Bible has the “final say” on any subject. Its verdict is final; it is incontestable, indisputable and irrefutable. The Word of God is our rules for living and the divine map for heavenly journey. It is the standard of faith and duty (John 12:48; Gal 1:8). Its author is God (2 Timothy 3:16,17). The Word of God is relevant to all man’s need and it speaks extensively of God’s will for mankind. God’s word is the source, foundation and basis of prevailing supernatural power in our lives, families, and ministries. The word of God is medicine, the mirror, the light, the truth, the rule and the sword. It is food and nourishment: food for our spirit, soul and body, and nourishment for our mind, thoughts and strength. It supplies health, joy and happiness, and brings assurance and faith through which we possess all we need. Through this word, we have holiness without which no man shall see the Lord, and it grants us wisdom, power for living and strength for our journey towards heaven. God’s word is food – milk and meat, which we must take regularly to be strong, powerful and unconquerable. We must:
Eat it well, take it in.
Chew it to benefit from all the nutrients; crush it, analyze it, apply it, break it down and compare it with your life.
Masticate, that is, ponder on it, meditate on it and make it personal.
Swallow it, let it sink it into your heart, brain, mind, and consciousness, because it is beneficial to your spiritual health.
Take breakfast every day when you are not fasting. Start your day with the word of God.
Keep to balanced diet of the word and the doctrines of Christ – salvation, justification, holiness, healing, deliverance, etc. Feed on all the word and different part of the word of God.
Exercise: use the strength you gained through the word to – (i) Evangelize sinners (ii) Empty Self out of your system (iii) Encounter situations (iv) Endure Challenges (v) Edify Saints (vi) Evict, expel and eject strangers/squatters – sickness and polluters – and close the door (vii) Exemplify and exhibit Strength.
