What do we mean when we talk about forests of love? In the case of today’s guest, we’re talking about literal forests! Lars Heiselberg Vang Jensen is the co-founder and chairman of the Growing Trees Network Foundation, a project aiming to change the world for the better by planting more trees, and thereby increasing the quality of life for everyone
Lars joins Paul to discuss his mission, and why trees seem to inspire such love and hope within so many of us...
KEY TAKEAWAYS
- Forests planted upon groundwater resources help to prevent areas being desecrated by pesticides, and add natural nutrition to reserves.
- As trees grow and become taller, they act as carbon traps, removing harmful carbon from the air and converting it into oxygen. This helps to reduce global warming.
- Forests are wonderful places for human beings to spend time. They help us to reconnect with the natural world.
- Love is a basic ingredient for life. We need to nurture it where we can. Hope is the power that enables us to see past today, and into the possibilities of tomorrow.

ABOUT THE GUEST
Lars Heiselberg Vang Jensen was born in a small family in Aarhus, Denmark. After backpacking through Asia, he worked for 8 years for Falck, a Danish rescue company in Denmark – specializing in the ambulance service.
During this time, he – along with other volunteer colleagues – organized an ambulance-related project in Laos; consisting of training local people, and shipping 33 containers of hospital gear, fire-fighting equipment and medical supplies etc. The main goal was to help establish an emergency ambulance service.
Since 2012, Lars is one of two driving forces behind the ‘Growing Trees Network’, a NGO based in Denmark. He passionately holds a powerful belief that together – by planting many new forests worldwide – we can help Mother Earth, the climate, animals and most importantly, loving ourselves.
More specifically, he is also a great believer in ‘Theme Forests’ as part of planting billions of trees – ultimately contributing towards more peace in our world.

ABOUT THE HOST
One thing that’s never been attached to Paul is the label ‘normal’ – something he is totally aware of. He definitely subscribes to being one of those mentioned the iconic ‘Think Different’ Apple commercial narrated by Steve Jobs in 1977:
“Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do!”
Paul has a long and distinguished history of coaching & mentoring – particularly focusing on helping people make the transition from pain to purpose; a journey he has made himself, from the depths of a deep dark existence, to now living a life of happiness and prosperity.
Through this Mastering The Game Of Life podcast, and books he has been involved in – including being a best-selling co-author – Paul also helps others to get their own inspirational messages and stories out into the world; as well as offering support to many charitable organisations, in their development & fund-raising.
