Pastor Stanley continues our teaching series, The Spirit Leads with a moving sermon focusing on the characteristics and experiences of the disciples from the book of Acts.
This is the third Sunday of our latest teaching series, The Spirit Leads. Dr. Stanley takes us through the book of Acts and this sermon focuses on chapters 3, 4, and 5.
From our Sunday sermon, September 27th, 2026. When Christ captivates us and the church, prayer becomes more than just asking God to bless our plans. Prayer becomes the place where our desires are reordered under the Lordship of Christ. Listen to this message referencing the ending of the book of Colossians. Thank you, Emmanuel Pothen for sharing!
Dr. Stanley preaches on Acts 2 in our series, The Spirit Leads.
Dr. Stanley begins a new teaching series on the Book of Acts called, The Spirit Leads.
Trusting Jesus can be difficult. And in this sermon, we are reminded of Peter walking on the water and how his faith was tested. And even though he began to doubt and sink, Jesus never let him drown. We too are reminded that we are never alone, even in our doubts, because Jesus is always with us.
We react and respond according to our hearts contentment or discontentment. To help us slow down and live more intentional lives, our guest speaker, Prijo Thomas, gives us guidelines to follow in the footsteps of Jesus and practice true sabbath rest.
We live in a culture obsessed with pursuing pleasure at whatever the cost. And when we pursue empty pleasures over Christ's love, we lose pieces of our souls. Dr. Stanley reminds us of the hope we have in Christ and offers tools to reset.
We live in a high anxiety culture with media and news everywhere we look. And as Christians, we want to be non-anxious with ourselves and with others, just as it says in the Bible in Philippians chapter 4. Today, we are challenged by what is good with the onslaught of media and news. So that leaves us with the topic for today's sermon: consumption of media by Dr. Stanley John. Let us recapture our thinking and reflection for good.
