For this episode, I brought on David Hayward, otherwise known as the "NakedPastor", to talk about spiritual deconstruction, spiritual abuse, and why he decided to leave the church after over 30 years serving in ministry. 

David is now a full-time artist who dubs himself as a "Graffiti artist on the walls of religion", focusing his art on challenging the status quo, deconstructing dogma, and promoting spiritual independence. 

He has a masters in theological studies from Gordon-Conwell theological seminary, as well as a diploma in religious studies and ministry from McGill university in Montreal. David started the NakedPastor blog in 2006, which analyses and critiques religion through his writings, art, and cartoons, and launched the Lasting Supper in 2012, an online resource site and community for the spiritually independent. His Instagram page has over 97,000 followers, and his art continues to inspire people all over the globe.

Yooo what is good! Your boys David and Josh are back from their hiatus with a brand new format, where they will be discussing more pointed topics. This episode's question: "Is Capitalism Compatible with Christianity?"

Christianity has had a long and intimate relationship with capitalism, but recently, more and more people are raising their concerns whether or not capitalism is the most ethical and effective system. David was especially interested in Josh's perspective as a Christian entrepreneur, and in this episode, the two discuss whether or not capitalism is morally compatible and consistent with the Christian faith.

Olivia Wong is a Chinese-American entrepreneur, senior partner of Prototype Thinking Labs, public speaker, award-winning humanitarian, and Miss Asian Global 2020! She brought some great insight into the movement, along with providing her unique experiences as an Asian-American woman in business.

Jackie recently dropped a new single, "Jackie Faye Adventures", which is now streaming on all major platforms.

This week, the Sound of Water podcast hosts Nidhi Shastri! Nidhi is the current host and founder of her podcast, Model Minority: Uniquely American. This is the very FIRST collaboration episode from Sound of Water!

Nidhi started her podcast to explore the many layers and depths of the "model minority" myth: the good, the bad, and the invisible. She graduated from the University of Illinois with degrees in Political Science and Environmental Science and has experience working in radio, campaign organizing, and advocating for single-payer healthcare in Illinois.
