Get to Know: Julian Ho (⁠@jhodrums)—drummer extraordinaire based in Los Angeles. He’s played for a diverse array of artists and projects, including Ruby Ibarra, Kirk Fletcher, Artur Menezes and Shirley Kwan, as well as the Grammy-nominated “Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card” game score. When he’s not teaching or touring, he’s busy developing new local movements like music collective, Shakey City Sound.

We're thrilled to have Julian as our first feature interviewee in welcoming back our podcast, where you get to hear directly from the voices and journeys of AAPI music creators.

Melissa Polinar (@mpolinar) is one of the original Asian American voices that arose out of new media and technology. An established singer/songwriter who “channels the soulfulness of Tracy Chapman and the folkie punch of Stevie Nicks,” Melissa has toured with the likes of David Ryan Harris and Indie Arie, and most recently released "Like I Do" in collaboration with producer Jesse Barrera.
