J Gomez -Serrano is a Melbourne-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose music moves through post-punk, dark alternative rock, acoustic mysticism and industrial unease. With a deep, distinctive baritone and an instinct for hypnotic repetition, his songs explore alienation, mortality, spiritual longing and the machinery of modern life.
Across projects including *Citizen of the World*, *Connected*, the unfinished acoustic album *Black Serenades*, and a growing collection of darker electric material, Gomez creates music that feels both intimate and cinematic—part confession, part ritual, part transmission from somewhere beneath the surface.
His work is not built around perfection or fashionable genre boundaries. It emerges organically: weathered guitars, nocturnal atmospheres, stark lyrics and melodies that drift between tenderness and menace. The result is music for outsiders, night travellers and anyone who suspects ordinary life is only a thin veil over something stranger.
