Welcome to the first solo episode of The Sounds Familiar Podcast where I will be talking about more mental health topics and things I've been learning on my journey to become a marriage and family therapist. Today, we are starting off slow with something I believe needs to be addressed in the realm of mental health. In 2021, a study reported that a staggering 6.8 million Americans struggle with anxiety, however there is still a stigma surrounding this struggle.
