Pat McCarthy recaps a game where Pete Alonso exits early with a hand injury and the Mets go down early. But after a big inning with Tomas Nido and J.D. Martinez hitting a home run and RBI double the Mets were able to keep it tied until their late inning struggles came back to bite them once again as they fell by a final score of 10-3.

Right before first pitch it was announced that Mets Closer Edwin Diaz had been placed on the Injured List and after the game he met with the media to discuss the injury which  he doesn't believe will be a major problem.
