  • Sounds Like Reading: Episode 1

    Welcome to Sounds Like Reading! In our very first episode Mrs. A teaches two sounds: /s/ (like a hissing snake) and /a/ (like the start of "apple"). Kids hiss, open wide, and play a "sound hunt" listening game. Then they join a silly sound chant with hand actions. There are no words to read yet, just listening and saying sounds, the first step toward reading.
