TrackSonix (feat. Joanne Staples) - In The Place We'd Rather Be.

An uplifting electronic dance anthem about love, escape, desire and the feeling of finding someone who makes you want time to stand still.

“In The Place We’d Rather Be” is a sun-soaked, emotional dance track inspired by those moments when the world around you disappears and all that matters is being with the person you want to be with.

From the first glance to the late-night dancefloor, the song captures the rush of attraction, the freedom of escape and the fantasy of somewhere - and someone - you’d rather be with.

🎤 Featuring the beautiful vocals of Joanne Staples, with music and lyrics written by Jon Brooks & Joanne Staples.

The track blends melodic electronic production, dancefloor energy and an unmistakable summer-night atmosphere - somewhere between an Ibiza sunset, a Mediterranean beach and that moment when the bass drops and everything else disappears.

Go Home is a reflective, moonlit track about feeling stuck, watching time pass, and wanting to escape the place you’re in - physically or mentally. Built on dreamy, atmospheric production, the song captures late-night thoughts, quiet frustration, and that pull toward something more familiar, more peaceful.

With introspective verses and a hypnotic hook, Go Home drifts between hope and uncertainty, echoing the feeling of staring out the window while the world keeps moving. It’s music for night drives, headphones on, lights low — when thoughts get louder and the moon feels like the only witness.

Lyrics:

Feel stuck on this way

I know it ain't gonna make it

Let's try anyway

(Oh yeah)

Feel stuck on this way

I know it ain't gonna make it

(Oh yeah)

Let's try anyway

(Oh yeah)

See look the moonlight's coming down

Now it's getting dark, but oh wow

(Oh yeah)

The moonlight shining through my window

(Yeah, listen)

Is it the same moon we see each night

I don't really know, I don't know

(Oh yeah)

My life is passing by the moon each night

(Yeah, listen)

Go home

Go home

I can see the moonlight

I wanna go, I wanna go

Go home

Go home

I can see the moonlight

I wanna go, I wanna go

Go home

See I see the moonlight come, ay, ay

I know it ain't really meant to be this way

I don't know, oh, oh

(Oh yeah)

I can see the bright light coming through the window

Even in the daytime the light shining through my window

I always felt like I'm never gonna hear it out

Never make it out of the place that we're from

(Oh yeah)

But oh weow let's go again

We can see the lights fade in the nighttime

(Oh yeah)

Go home

Go home

I can see the moonlight

I wanna go, I wanna go

Go home

Go home

I can see the moonlight

I wanna go, I wanna go

Go home

Oh oh

Oh oh

Moonlight

Oh oh

Oh oh

Oh oh

Moonlight

Go home

Go home

I can see the moonlight

I wanna go, I wanna go

Go home

Go home

I can see the moonlight

I wanna go, I wanna go

Go home
