To prepare themselves for an upcoming CW superhero show, Mark, Jesse, and Ronnie take a look at the 12 issue series from DC titled "Black Lightning" on Source Material.
Released in the late 70's, the series focuses on an olympic decathlete by the name of Jefferson Pierce, who took on the alter ego of Black Lightning after a tragic interaction occurred at the school he is employed. Now, Jefferson's mission is to end the influence the White Whale, a local gangster, has on Suicide Slum. With appearances by Jimmy Olsen, Superman, The Trickster, and more, will Black Lightning live up to or shake our predispositions of what a 70's African American centered comic story will be? Tune in and find out.
