Working out of a building many locals remember as the old Knights of Columbus (bingo hall), Josh has built a reputation for high-quality vehicle restoration and custom fabrication projects that attract customers from across the region and beyond.

Josh shares his journey from growing up in Alva, Oklahoma, attending technical school in Nashville, and working in collision repair, restoration shops, and even NASCAR racing before eventually bringing his business to Kiowa. He discusses what makes restoration work different from traditional collision repair, the stories and memories behind many of the vehicles he restores, and why preserving those memories is often just as important as rebuilding the vehicle itself.

Head Coach Matt Cantrell and Assistant Coach Grant Cantrell look back on a season-ending playoff thriller on the road at Weskan, a game they describe as one of the grittiest efforts in over three decades of South Barber football. They break down how the Chieftains executed the defensive game plan to near perfection, bottling up one of the state’s most explosive playmakers and outgaining the defending state champs by a wide margin, only to see penalties, field conditions, and a few key miscues tilt a razor-thin contest.

They also highlight individual toughness up front, key contributions from role players, and a community that traveled five hours and at times out-cheered the home crowd.

Cantrell and Cantrell also discuss what this group’s maturity means for the future, how this playoff run raises the bar for all South Barber athletics, and why the standard going forward is “one heartbeat”- players, coaches, and community pulling in the same direction as they turn the page to basketball, track, and another big football push next fall.
