Returning to the roots of being a disciple is needed from time to time. Many times, the big obstacle to us humbling out is our pride. Either we think we have it all figured out, or we are unwilling to admit we need to change. Jesus is the ultimate example of the how to keep our hearts focused on God.

Prayer is essential to the Christian life. Without it, we have no connection with God. It must be Regular, Transcendent, & Active. With this, we can achieve many breakthroughs in our faith.

Looking back on all the things that God has blessed us with or brought us through in our lives is a great way to constantly reminder ourselves of the amazing God we serve. Celebrating the past victories is just as important as looking forward to the future ones. Make your Memorial Stones (Joshua 4:1-3, 21-23) for this past year and celebrate all that God has done in your life

The holidays can often be a stressful, challenging time for many people. Happiness is supposed to be prevalent, but often times can elude people. God doesn't want people to be happy, he wants them to experience Joy. Happy depends on what's happening. Joy comes from the soul, through surrendering ourselves to God's will.

So often around the holidays, life can get chaotic. At times, we need to slow down and remember what we are doing this all for. When we focus on Jesus, just Jesus, our minds become much clearer and we can truly see what is most important in life... to serve God and his church.

America is often referred to as the most prosperous nation in the world. Unfortunately we are not also the most generous. Ultimately, God calls all of us to be generous and provide for others as needed. Regardless of where you live, are you will to be generous, so that you can truly prosper in God's kingdom

What is it that really matters most to God? He truly values our hearts for the poor. If we are willing to care for those that are in need, God will truly bless us. For that is what he wants us to focus on, among many other things

Many things in our lives can become idols to us. Christ tells us that He is our only "idol" in that we need to worship Him, and Him alone. We need to decide what our real "idol" is in our lives.

The most important part of our lives is our heart. Generosity is a vital component of Christianity. if we are unwilling to have the heart to, then we need to truly check who we are and develop our best response to that idea.
