South Beta Podcast

It has been a long time since we have recorded or posted an episode. The world changed in 2020 and the podcast went on break. This is a quick come back. Hear us catch up and try to start out with this new chapter in our adventure to untangle the knot.

This episode has been in the making for years. On this episode, our good friend and head route setter at Planet Granite Sunnyvale, Adriel Rodriguez, joins us to talk about his passion for all things climbing. We talk about how he designs his own training, how coaching one sport translates to another, and what still drives his passion for Climbing after starting over 12 years ago. Evan continually calls this: "maybe our best episode yet." Come check it out!

In this episode we unpack what this podcast means for us and where we want to take it in the future. Evan has been trying to convince Zack for ages that the podcast could be better and in this episode, Zack almost listens.

We were guests in a friends house so we decided to record an episode. This being our first episode of 2020 and our first episode in nearly a year of recording, we spent much of the time getting back into the swing of things. Hope you all enjoy it.

This was recorded in Febuary 2019 during SF Beer week. We talk about Zack joining the El Cap team and the new Belmont acroyoga class. Super exciting. Was supposed to be shared back then. Sorry for the delay.

This is almost like a year recap episode. We get back to chatting about various climbing related topics. Enjoy at your own risk.

In this episode we welcome back our special guest Bridget to ask Dr. Evan Pearce some super special questions about how he projects a climb. Humor ensues.

Earth Treks and Planet Granite merged late last year and we finally have a chance to ask our questions and Evan does his best to answer them.

After a long break between episodes we talk about what it would take to do the bill wall project we have been planning for 2018. There is also a bunch of PG news and some other catch up stuff.

We invite our friend Justin to come in and talk about how he has progressed in a multi decade long climbing career. How has he kept himself engaged in the sport? How has goals shifted over time? Listen and find out.
