Israel has been made the covenant people of God, and are now called to respond generosly to God´s gift. We look also how we today are are to respond to respond generously to God´s blessings, in our church, communities and beyond.

In COVID times when connection in relationship seems blocked or hindered, our longing to relate is more acute. In this sermon, we look at Exodus 24, reading about a profound moment of connection between God and His people and how God wants to make relationship possible when we feel far from Him.

On the heels of receiving the code for holy living, God's people are promised a bright future in a fertile land, but in the meantime, they must wait on God's timing to accomplish His purposes. Similarly, we are stuck in the meantime between Christ's resurrection and Christ's second coming.

God gives more laws to His covenant people, the nation of Israel, related to worship. God reminds us that we owe Him our worship. The most important thing we will do this week is worship God. Hear from God's word and to bring Him a sacrifice of praise.

God cares greatly for his people. He cares about the details of our daily lives. So much so that he gave these laws in Exodus 20-23 so he could help his people apply the ten commandments to their daily life.

We look at the 10th commandment, where Christianity addresses coveting and human desire. The one who has never broken a promise. He is not just an example to follow but he is our hope as we fail to tell the truth and keep our promises.
