Jesus’ priesthood is superior because of his indestructible life.

The resurrection of Jesus strips death of all its power.

Jesus was ridiculed and his death was seen as ridiculous, but it is actually the power of God to save us.

Trust and obey for there’s no other way to be happy in Jesus, BUT in times of mistrust and disobedience we plead on the trusted, obedient son, Jesus.

TBCThe regular festivals and weekly sabbaths (ie the calendar) reinforced to the people who they were and what God had done for them. We need to have rhythms in our lives that do the same.

Our sins were atoned for on the day Jesus died.

The laws related to cleanliness were put in place to protect people from dying in God’s presence. For us Jesus has died to make us safe in God’s presence.

God has made a way for us to come to him and we must only come on his terms, not our own.

In Leviticus The many sacrifices were God’s way for sinners to be accepted by him. They pointed forward to the one sacrifice of Jesus by whom we can come to God.

Leviticus is about God making a way for his sinful people to come close to and be in relationship with him.
