For the last sermon in the series of following the Israelites as God's people, Dave showed us how the same God who led them is the same God that can lead us. Following God comes with wonderful blessings, but choosing to follow anything else can come with devastating consequences, as Israel and Moses found out, and which we will too as we are lead toward heaven, our Promised Land.

Once Israel are freed from slavery in Egypt they are free to follow and worship God as their leader. But whilst many of their threats are behind, the threat of their own sinful heart has travelled with them. Dave teaches from Exodus 13-33 about how the law reveals a depth of sin that only a truly divine Saviour can rescue us from.

Exodus 2-12 is the arm wrestle between Pharaoh and God. The Egyptians followed Pharaoh, and the Israelites followed God, and the results couldn't be more different. In Dave's sermon he asked the question "Who are God's people today?" and helped us think about what it looks like to be God's people and follow him in our day.

As we begin our next short teaching series, Stephen opens up Exodus and gives us the background on how Israel ended up being trapped in their temporary home of Egypt. Whilst Pharoah was growing paranoid over the growing number of Israelites, God was raising up a leader who would lead them to safety.

From prostitute to princess, Rahab's life serves as an example of what God can do with a life fully surrendered to him. Without knowing what God with do with her life, she knew enough about his power and goodness to follow him by faith. Before Dave preached on Rahab, Hannah interviewed him about how God has been, and still is, transforming him.

It's hard to think of someone who has undergone a more obvious transformation by God than the man we now call the Apostle Paul. From dragging Christians into jail to becoming a Christian and spending significant time in jail himself. God's transformation of Paul serves as an example of God's power to transform those who are actively working against him. Before Stephen preached about Paul's transformation, he interviewed another Paul from our local Sorell congregation about how he has witness God's transformative power in his own life.

From Simon to the Saint Peter. From fisherman to friend of Jesus. The transformation of Peter as being anything other than divine intervention is hard to deny. On Sunday at Souther Beaches, Dave continued our current series, 'We All Are Being Transformed', by interviewing Lola about God's work in her life, followed by looking at the life and transformation of the man we now know as the Apostle Peter.

God's transformation of us isn't always what we'd expect. In the life of Solomon, his transformation was to find God outside of his affluence and power, not through it. This sermon recording from the Southern Beaches includes an interview with Andrew about how he has experienced, and is still experiencing, God's transformation in his life.

As Souther Beaches kicked-off the new year with a new teaching series, 'We All Are Being Transformed', we heard from Steve Davis about how God has been at work transforming his life. Then, Dave preached on the life and transformation of Mary Magdalene, from demon-possessed to one of the most trusted and loyal of Jesus' disciples.
