The final chapter of the book of Jonah answer a lot of our questions! Why did Jonah not want to go to Nineveh? Will God really destroy them? Has Jonah's heart really changed towards the Ninevites? 
Dave preaches on Jonah 4 from Sorell and wraps up this amazing little book, and shows how the questions that are raised in Jonah find their answers in Jesus.

Jonah's time in the fish changed his attitude towards God, but not towards the Ninevites. But that didn't stop God from sovereignly using his power to work through Jonah's (very short, quite abrupt) message to bring incredible transformation to Nineveh! In chapter 3, Dave shares that the reluctance and grumpiness of Jonah creates a stark contrast against the mercy and power of God.

Dave preached from Jonah 2, where we finally see Jonah do something right! From inside the belly of the fish, he prays. His prayer is full of repentance and thanksgiving, which is quite mindblowing given the situation! His prayer invites us to consider how we respond when we mess up, and whether we are able to trust the plan of our good God to get us out of a bad situation.

Chapter 1 of the book of Jonah sets out the premise for the story that we all know and love. It not only introduces us to Jonah, but reveals who God is, especially when we attempt to run from him and his plan. This sermon is preached by Stephen Savage at Sorell.

Dave then shared an encouragement for us to approach Mission Month, and weeks like it, with an attitude of gaining inspiration, not simply information.

Josh Skeat, Regional Officer for Bush Church Aid in Tasmania, came and shared about the incredible work that BCA does in Australia by 'Aiding Churches in the Bush'. Alongside that he preached a great message from James 2, encouraging us to not only be hearers of the word but to live out our faith.

Scott Doran-Sargent from CMS Tasmania shares a great sermon from Philippians 2. Like Paul, Scott encouraged us to prioritise the virtues of Christ and hold onto him, so that we shine brightly in our communities.
