South Figaro Podcast

The Sauce and vagrant_winds join me in a followup discussion where we talk about the unsung heroines of the previous recording, the unappreciated depth of Final Fantasy XIII and a uniquely critical analysis of a beloved Final Fantasy VI character. The South Figaro Podcast will always be a safe haven for controversial opinions, so make yourself comfortable and don't mind the F-16s flying by.

Stilts, Fencingsax, Renzo, somestickguy, and LockedOnTarget join me today to celebrate some of our favorite female characters (and our not-so-favorite depictions of them) in this week's Final Fantasy-themed episode.

We begin the new year with the largest ensemble of people yet. Fencingsax, ThatDudeOverThere, turtleant and Blue Map return along with newcomer LockedOnTarget and Stilts as a late addition, as we discuss the longest-running fanboyest-filled crossover series Kingdom Hearts. How many crazy (and awesome) ideas can we come up with for Kingdom Hearts III? Listen in and find out.

Blue Map, Fencingsax, and ThatDudeOverThere join me for a variety-filled discussion to close out 2014; videogames, board games, christmas carols, final fantasy, dragon age and backlogs round out this episode...then things get heated the moment someone says the word "moba".

Also, Tdot reveals a shocking truth about himself. Find out about his confession in the last South Figaro podcast of the year.

Renzo joins me just before the holidays to discuss the blood of Final Fantasy: Type-0, the boobs of Final Fantasy XV, and the boss (as in rad, not actual bosses) additions to Final Fantasy XIV in this trifecta of Final Fantasy news following Jump Festa 2015.

Turtleant rejoins Fencingsax, ThatDudeOverThere and myself as we pad along the rest of the year with filler talk. Some nice things said about Ubisoft this time, in addition to several more not-so-nice things. Also, Fencingsax tries to convince me that Dragon Age II wasn't a waste of my time, and we do our best to inform the masses on the most overlooked Steam games on sale.

We can rebuild this episode. We have the technology. We can make it better, stronger....longer.

Fencingsax, Somestickguy, SimBen and ThatDudeOverThere rejoin me in delivering the missing portion of the previous episode and then some. Brace yourself for a five hour episode that wraps up the games of 2014 while also looking toward the horizon of the new year.

If you've got some time to spare (and you probably do if you're listening to five hour podcasts), feel free to take a look at Somestickguy's blog.

It's a record-breaking (and podcast breaking) party of five; Fencingsax and SimBen return alongside new guests ThatDudeOverThere and Somestickguy, as we look back at 2014's most memorable games and I lament the loss of what was originally a five hour epic.

The Final Fantasy discussion finally returns, along with Fencingsax and newcomer SimBen. Listen as we wax nostalgic about 16-bit JRPG learning curves, arguments on the definition of "cinematic", Celes' impractical general's outfit, and all the Kefka quotes we can fit into one recording.

This episode is dedicated to my best friend on four legs, Casey.

In a special mini-episode, Dark Raven X joins me to gush some more about magical girls, YouTube reactions, character shipping in the East and West, the sorrow of expensive figurines and Mami's glorious hair drills.

Spoilers once more for the Madoka Magica series and the film Rebellion. The Final Fantasy discussion will resume next episode.
