The first captains Bulls Head Coach Ken Eriksen has tabbed in his nearly three decades at South Florida.

The first basketball-focused episode of the South Florida coaches show. Hosted by Darek Sharp, Caylee Cottrell and Joey Johnston. Will debut Thursdays twice a week, with the men's Head Coach on the first program (Women's Coach Jose Fernandez and Romi Levy will be featured on the Jan. 23 program). Also we talk to a non-basketball guest, in this case the Track & Field Head Coach.

A wide variety of subjects on Wednesday's show as we get ready for track and field to start, with tennis and golf not far behind. Segment Two (15-minute mark) features a full preview of women's basketball vs. Tulsa and an AAC update in both the women's and men's standings.

In our first show in a month due to the holidays, we glance back to the Boca Raton Bowl - but also to the 10 years that the CFP has been in motion, as Michael was its CEO before coming to South Florida. Lots of hoops talk, classroom success and more in this sitdown with host Darek Sharp.

The show begins with some programming notes, football adding a talented Tallahassee tandem and how a member of men's golf destroyed the field in St. Pete, then Darek gets into a full recap of Romi Levy saving the day for women's basketball at Tulane (6:15) and a close one for the men at UAB (24:15) where the whistles did not go in their favor.

Hosts did not make a field goal in the final 8 minutes - as Bulls had overcome a 10-point deficit to take the lead - but ended up 23-of-32 on free throws in the 2nd half compared to 7-of-12 for the Bulls.

The transfer from Auburn saved the day with a career performance, including 7 straight free throws at the end.

Bulls led 41-21 at half only to fall behind with less than two minutes to go, but scored the last 8 points to defeat Tulane 70-63. Head Coach Jose Fernandez joined Darek Sharp courtside moments after the final buzzer.
