1) The myth of "moderation in all things"

• Irrational and Unlivable
• NOT biblical
• Specific areas moderation will not work (love, kindness, forgiveness, sin)

2) Test case: Alcohol

• Drunkenness leads to condemnation (Galatians 5:21, Ephesians 5:18, 1 Corinthians 6:10, 1 Peter 4:3)
• Moderate drinking cannot be justified scientifically or biblically
