Proverbs 28:6 explains that the wicked and righteous are contrasted with each other, and this includes how they acquire and view wealth.

We often look at the past and the future of the Christian life. We thank the Lord for the past that he delivered us from and look forward to our future in Heaven. Yet, Romans 8 tells every Christian, that due to our justification through Christ, there are things that we can experience and enjoy right now!

One look at the Maniac of Gadara, and it would have been obvious that he needed the Lord. Is there somebody that you know that needs the Lord too, are you going to make that they are introduced to Him, like this man was?

Proverbs 28 is a comparison and contrast chapter. It compares the "wicked" and the "righteous". In this first part, we see how these two groups differ as leaders and followers.

David and Absalom. These two men both desired God's favor and attention. However, one of them attempted to achieve it the wrong way, and never did. How can we learn from this man's mistakes?

We know that God justifies the believer at the moment of salvation, but who is responsible to make sure that our justification is maintained? Paul answer that question by telling us to not put ourselves in charge of that, but to leave the Lord in charge of that.

As we finish up the 27th chapter of Proverbs, we look at what is needed for us to look well after the herds that God has put us in charge of.

As we listen to the testimony of the centurion, who was at the foot of the cross the day that Jesus died, we noticed some wonderful things that every person can find at the foot of the cross.

The law is hard, impersonal, unbiased, and demands perfection. However, even as it deems us guilty we learn that the law is not sinful or wrong. It plays important role in every person who falls under its weight.

In this portion of Proverbs, the father admonishes and instructs the son to be wise. A wise son makes the father's heart glad, because it allows the father to have a good answer when the reproacher lifts their accusations and allegations against the son.
