This week was the season finale of Emerald City. This 10 week podcast journey has come to a close and the show went out with a bang and some really decent cliffhangers. Dorothy finally finds the truth of who her birth mother really is only to be tornado'd away from her in that moment. The Beast Forever is revealed and he is not with the shits! The Wizard hit his psychological breaking point after trying to murder 1,000 witches went terribly wrong for him. Glinda and Mistress West try to meet in the middle of reason and magic. Ozma takes her rightful place as Queen of Oz, though still clearly tormented by her true gender. Homage was paid to the movie throughout this episode in clever ways that you had to be paying attention to to catch.

This week on the recap, the magic is starting to hit the fan. Tip was born a girl. Raised as a boy through magic. Magic wore off and he became his true form. Then "ze" got magic powers and immediately turn back boy, but was needed as a girl as Ozma so the witches would follow her and West to Emerald City to take out the Wizard (phew!). Fan meet magic! Lucas unenthusiastically tries to murder Dorothy only to get scarecrow'd again. Nahara was convinced by Dorothy to raise the stone giants to stop a war and end a tyrant. The Wizard faces a firing squad. Langwidere gets socked in the face and shot in the head all in the same damn episode.

This week the magic hit the fan! We got a couple of reveals this episode. Tip was convinced by Mistress West that not only was she Ozma, heir to Oz, but to ingest Mistress East's (most merciful and stern) liquefied essence and spells. Meanwhile, West has to deal with her own abandonment issues and clear case of PTSD. The now Queen of Ev exposed herself physically with a sheer mask and emotionally to Jack, allowing him to go "free". Trav makes an observation about Jane the inventor that he and Rich should have been caught onto. We also find out who the Cowardly Lion is in this story.
