Sean O'Hagan, formerly of Microdisney and Stereolab, talks about his life in South London, Stereolab's South London roots, the transpontine tunes he recorded with The High Llamas and 'Here Come The Rattling Trees', his latest narrative music project which is set in Peckham.

In 1931 Boris Karloff (born in Honor Oak) starred in Frankenstein, one of the most popular and influential horror films of all time. The Monster that is now so iconic is as much Karloff's as it is Mary Shelley's. Karloff reprised the role in Bride of Frankenstein and Son of Frankenstein, the former starring Elsa Lanchester (from Lewisham) in the titular role.
