Why do we need to be seen? Why do we long for a God who sees us? And what difference does that make to us? The story of Hagar found in Genesis 16 – the loneliest and most unseen any person has ever felt. 

What can the church do for the community: help us deal with loneliness.

From Proverbs 3:25-26; Luke 11:27-28 considering Mary as a courageous woman, a model of courageous obedience to God. There were many reasons for Mary to have fear (Matt 1:18-25) but she chose to put her confidence in God’s promises and make his work her priority. Evil is real but grace always wins.

Mary’s willingness to be with Jesus so that he could be with us. God’s sovereignty. Living for Jesus is recognizing that God’s treasures are wrapped in humility.
