It's easy to follow Jesus when He agrees with us. The real test comes when His kingdom challenges our politics, our tribe, our assumptions, or even our preferred vision for the world. Jesus doesn't belong to our political party, our cultural movement, or our national identity—we belong to Him.
When Jesus disagrees with our side, will we still choose His?

Following Jesus doesn't mean becoming silent when culture gets something wrong. Christian courage, however, isn't measured by how loudly we fight. We're called to speak truth with grace, disagree without dehumanizing, and remain kind without becoming fearful. In a political season where everyone seems to want us to pick a tribe, can we be bold enough to tell the truth and enough like Jesus to love the person who disagrees?

Culture tells us marriage is about finding someone who completes us and parenting is about raising successful, happy kids. Following Jesus doesn't just change what we believe about family—it changes how we behave inside it. What would change in your family if Jesus—not culture, comfort, or convenience—set the tone?

Chasing more will never satisfy a soul made for God. In this house, more isn’t the goal—God is. Paul calls the church to contentment, generosity, and an eternal perspective. Real wealth isn’t what we keep—it’s what we give. What are we actually building our lives to gain?

In a culture driven by power and wealth, the church is called to reflect something different. In this house, people matter more than status. Paul challenges favoritism, calls for integrity, and defends those often overlooked. Do we treat people based on their value to us—or their value to God?

Truth doesn’t disappear overnight—it erodes over time. In this house, we don’t ignore that drift—we train for something better. Paul warns that people will wander from what’s true, and reminds Timothy that spiritual growth isn’t accidental. Are we intentionally growing—or slowly drifting?

The health of a church rises and falls on its leadership. In this house, leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about character. Paul outlines leaders who don’t just speak well, but live well. In a world obsessed with platform, God is focused on integrity. Are we focused on being seen or being formed?

If Jesus is King, prayer isn’t optional—it’s essential. In this house, we don’t just react—we pray. Paul calls the church to pray for everyone, especially leaders, because peaceful lives can point people to a different kind of King. When life gets hard, do we turn to God?

Bad theology doesn’t just confuse people—it derails lives. In this house, everything starts with Jesus. Paul confronts distractions and reminds Timothy that everything points to Christ, the true King. Are we building our lives on Jesus…or just ideas about Him?

Not everyone will have the opportunity to be famous, but everyone has the opportunity to be great. Jesus said, “I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” How would you summarize what He meant by that?
