We must pour ourselves into praying for the spiritual health of disciples because only God has the power to prepare disciples for the King's return.

I. Disciple-makers pray for opportunities to disciple the disciples. (11)

II. Disciple-makers pray for growing love among disciples. (12)

III. Disciple-makers pray for unwavering holiness to characterize disciples. (13a)

IV. Disciple-makers pray for spiritual health because that is what will matter when the King comes for His disciples. (13b)

#2 - If God answers this prayer for my brother/sister in Christ, will he/she be more prepared for the coming of Jesus?

I. Disciple-makers make sacrifices for the sake of strengthening disciples. (1)

II. Disciple-makers encourage disciples to remain faithful in the face of persecution. (2-4)

Being caught off guard is a shortcut to defeat, but realistic expectations can help you stand firm and battle to the end.
