  • Serve Somewhere

Bottom line: Saved people serve people, so serve somewhere by serving someone.

The story of the Good Samaritan offers us some great insight into how we can serve people. The Samaritan served the man that had beaten, robbed, and left for dead. His example shows us that we can serve others spiritually, physically, and financially. We will appropriately serve when we see the way Jesus sees and heed the way the Jesus leads.

  • What Does God Want From Me?

Bottom line: God wants His children to do justly, show mercy, and to walk humbly with Him.

Many Christians get so focused on what is the will of God for their life and tend to stress out because they think that there is a Christian golden brick road. Jesus told the disciples to follow Him. He didn't say figure it our for yourself or its all on you now. He said simply to follow Him. In this message we will here from Micah when he remind that children of Israel what God requires of them...Do Justice, Love Mercy, and Walk Humbly before God.

  • Give Small Groups A Try

Bottom line: Life together is life better.

Being plugged into a small group can help us transform church from being a religious event to a relational experience.

A small group can connect people relationally, enable people to serve, provide an environment for spiritual growth, and create a network of care and accountability.

  • Share Your Faith

Bottom line: Found people find people.

Phillip's example teaches us much about how we are to accomplish the Great Commission. Philip, who had been found by Jesus, went forth and found Nathanael and then invited him to come and see Jesus. This is what "found" people do. Found people find people and invite them to come and see Jesus. We invite people to come and see Jesus in our church. Come and see Jesus in the Scriptures. And come and see Jesus in my life.

  • Feed Yourself

Bottom line: Welcome God's Word into your heart but don't fail to do your part. Feed yourself by hearing consistently and acting instantly.

As we begin a new year, let's evaluate how we are doing with regards to our expectations that we be self-feeders of God's Word. Ask the questions: 1) Do I welcome God's Word into my heart? Is that my attitude? God, You're Word is welcome here. You know it is welcome when you down with God putting His finger on a spot in your life and saying, "That's it. That's the spot that needs to change." 2) Do act instantly on what God's Word reveals that you need to do? How are you doing in the area of obedience to God's convicting Spirit?

Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God." We need spiritual food. We need it consistently. Let's evaluate how we are doing as self-feeders. Little babies can't feed themselves. Lazy children won't feed themselves. But we all know that the normal and right thing to do as we grow is to feed ourselves. The same is true spiritually. As we grow in the Lord, let's take on the responsibility to feed ourselves.

  • The Day After Christmas

Bottom line: It's the day after Christmas. What will you do with Jesus?

Sometimes we treat Jesus like a Christmas ornament or a nativity prop. Christmas is over, and we put Him away. But Jesus is certainly not an ornament or a prop. When the Shepherds came to Bethlehem, what did they find in the manger? The found the "Lamb of God" wrapped in swaddling clothes. The found the "Bread of Life" lying in a feeding trough. They found the "Water of Life" lying in a watering trough. And a as a result of what they found they made proclamation, wondered and pondered, and gave glory and praise to God. Their example is a good one to follow. What will you do with Jesus? Trust Him as Savior? Deeply think of what He has done for you? Praise God with a grateful heart because He is the Savior?

  • The Joy of Christmas.
Bottom line: Because of Jesus, there is always joy.
In this message we will look at three major distraction that take our eyes and heart of of Jesus and the joy that is found in Him. These three major distraction are commercialism, busyness, and family. Our distractions with commercialism, busyness, and our families get-togethers can often rob us of true Christmas Joy, by taking our attention off Christ.
How can we get past these 3 major distractions that distract us from the true meaning of Christmas? We will look at Jesus’ Dysfunctional Family Tree to Find Out. We focus on 4 people, the four women in his genealogy, the women are Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba.
First thing we learn is that God has a plan.
Secondly, we learn from these women that the good news of Jesus is for all people.
Thirdly, these women display God’s grace.
Lastly, because of God’s grace we need to learn to focus on Jesus.

  • The Hope of Christmas

Bottom Line: Because of Jesus, there is always hope.

In this message we look at the Hebrew children and the utter hopelessness they found themselves in after they had been attacked and taken as exiles because of their constant disobedience to God. God sent the prophet Jerimiah to give them hope and remind them of the Messiah that is going to come through them.

  • From Bethlehem To New Jerusalem

Bottom line: David dreamed of building a dwelling place for God out of timbers and stones. God dreamed of building a dwelling place for Himself out of redeemed humanity.

David dreamed of building God a house, a temple, fit for housing the ark of God and His shekinah glory. God redirected David's dream into something bigger and better for both God and David. For David, God would building a dynasty that would see his seed (the Messiah) reign on his throne forever. For God, David's seed (the Messiah) would build God a household of redeemed sinners to dwell with for all eternity in New Jerusalem.
