SouthCrest Church Sunday message, 12/15/24. Senior Pastor Matt McFadden continues our Advent series in 1 John 4:7-12. In these verses we find the foundational idea that God is love, and that we are to show an unconditional love to everyone, just as God showed us through Jesus’s sacrifice.

SouthCrest Church Sunday message, 12/8/24. We continue in our Advent series in Luke 2:1-21. Senior Pastor Matt McFadden shows us that Jesus’s birth brings us peace. It is not a worldly “peace” absent of trouble, turmoil, violence and war, but rather a peace that transcends all the cares of this world to leave us neither troubled nor afraid, because our God is an “everlasting rock.”

These verses teach us that we are uniquely called to serve the Church from among a variety of gifts and methods of serving, and we are to find unity in that variety. It is through the uniting of our various gifts and service that the Church is empowered and made whole.

Using these verses Senior Pastor Matt McFadden shows us how our personal sin affects our unity, and how by using the steps also found in these verses we may acknowledge the seriousness of our sin and find God’s healing grace.
